My Father Lied A Mesopotamia-themed Point and Click Title Launches in May

by Caleb Feb 12,2025

Unravel the mystery surrounding your father's disappearance in My Father Lied, Ahmed Alameen's debut point-and-click adventure game. Launching May 30th on App Store, Google Play, and Steam, this captivating title blends Mesopotamian history with haunting visuals.

Step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman embarking on a quest to uncover the truth behind her father's vanishing twenty years prior. This journey begins with a startling revelation: she has a brother her father never mentioned.

Alameen, initially collaborating with a classmate, took the reins as sole developer, mastering game design to bring his vision to life. The result is a narrative-driven puzzle experience inspired by classics like Myst and Heaven's Vault, with a touch of H.P. Lovecraft's literary darkness.

Gameplay involves classic point-and-click mechanics, guiding Huda through stunning, yet efficiently rendered environments. Alameen's innovative use of 2D and 360-degree imagery, including hand-crafted cutscenes, ensures high-quality visuals accessible even on lower-spec PCs. Solve intricate puzzles, piece together fragmented images, decipher codes, and delve deeper into a world brimming with secrets.

My Father Lied will be available May 30th for $10.99/€. Add it to your Steam Wishlist now! Mobile pre-registration isn't yet available. For updates, follow Lunar Games on X, Discord, TikTok, and Instagram. An upcoming Kickstarter campaign will further illuminate the game's development.
