Fortnite: How To Get The Typhoon Blade

by Julian Feb 26,2025

This guide details how to obtain and use the Typhoon Blade in Fortnite Chapter 6. The Typhoon Blade is a powerful melee weapon offering both combat and mobility advantages.

How to Get the Typhoon Blade

Several methods exist for acquiring the Typhoon Blade:

1. Typhoon Blade Stands: These stands are located at specific points across the map (e.g., Flooded Frogs, Magic Mosses, Lost Lake, Nightshift Forest, Shogun's Solitude). However, they don't always spawn.

2. Chests and Floor Loot: While less reliable, the Typhoon Blade can be found as random loot in chests or on the ground.

3. Defeating Demon Warriors: Demon Warriors, marked on the map, have a chance to drop the Typhoon Blade if they are wielding it. They also carry Oni Masks.

4. Purchasing from Kendo: This is a guaranteed method. Find Kendo northeast of Nightshift Forest. Complete his five Melee Expertise Quests to unlock the purchase option using Gold Bars.

5. Defeating Shogun X (Mythic Version): Defeating Shogun X at Shogun's Arena yields a Mythic Typhoon Blade.

How to Use the Typhoon Blade

The Typhoon Blade has limited durability. Its abilities include:

  • Passive Ability: Increased sprint speed and reduced stamina consumption while equipped.
  • Attack: Slash attack (30 damage per hit, combo attack for 50 damage on final hit). Mid-air attacks negate fall damage.
  • Cyclone Slash (Aim Button): Heavy attack (90 damage), knocks back enemies. 10-second cooldown.
  • Wind Leap (Jump Button during sprint): Leaps into the air, negates fall damage.
  • Air Dash (Jump Button in midair): Dashes forward, negates fall damage.

Mastering the Typhoon Blade's capabilities will significantly enhance your close-quarters combat and mobility within Fortnite Chapter 6.
