Fortnite's new Reload mode throws players back to the game's roots with a modern twist. This fast-paced mode features a smaller map packed with nostalgic locations like Tilted Towers and Retail Row, creating intense close-quarters combat.
What Makes Reload Mode Unique?
Forty players battle it out, with squad elimination being the only way to lose. Even if your entire squad is downed, there's a chance for a comeback as long as at least one teammate remains alive. This high-stakes gameplay applies to both Battle Royale and Zero Build modes.
The mode removes drivable vehicles, but compensates with a diverse selection of unvaulted weapons, including fan favorites like the Revolver, Tactical Shotgun, Lever Action Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, and Grappler. Victory Crowns remain in play, and upon reboot, players respawn with a common Assault Rifle (and building materials in Build mode). A dynamic Reboot Timer, starting at 30 seconds and increasing to 40, adds to the pressure, though eliminating enemies reduces this timer. Players can also choose to initiate their reboot immediately.
Elimination and Resource Management
Eliminated players drop Small Shield Potions, various ammo types, and 50 of each building material (in Build mode), keeping the battle dynamic and resource-driven.
Rewarding Challenges
The Reload mode also introduces introductory quests offering substantial XP rewards. Complete three quests to earn the Digital Dogfight Contrail, six for the Pool Cubes Wrap, and nine for the NaNa Bath Back Bling. Claiming a Victory Royale unlocks The Rezzbrella Glider.
