In Freedom Wars Remastered, customizing your loadout for operations can greatly enhance your gameplay experience. While larger elements like weapons and Thrones are less frequently swapped out, Combat Items are consumables that offer a variety of uses and are essential, finite resources.
You'll find that completing operations can occasionally reward you with more combat items, though often not in quantities sufficient for subsequent missions. At the game's outset, you're limited to equipping just one Combat Item at a time. Here's how to address both these challenges.
How To Equip More Combat Items In Freedom Wars Remastered
To increase the number of Combat Items you can equip, you need to unlock the right Entitlements. While in your cell, interact with the Window On Liberty and select "Claim Entitlements". Navigate to the Equipment section and move to the right to find the One-Item Permit at the top. Each subsequent permit below this will allow you to equip up to a total of four Combat Items.
These story-based Entitlements become available quickly, and you'll have the opportunity to purchase all four permits by the time you reach CODE level 3. Note that the later permits will only appear after you've acquired the preceding one. When you equip a Combat Item, you'll be able to carry the entire stack you own at the start of the Operation. For example, equipping a Frag Grenade means you'll have all your Frag Grenades ready to use.
Additionally, your Accessory can equip one Combat Item, which can be used at your discretion.
Where To Get More Combat Items In Freedom Wars Remastered
As you advance through the main story beyond the initial missions, you'll unlock access to The Warren, a central HUB area. Within The Warren, you'll find a store named Zakka on the upper story along the right side. Here, you can not only purchase weapons but also select the Buy Items option to access the Munitions and Medical Supplies lists.
- Munitions include items that directly damage enemies in combat.
- Medical Supplies cover items that heal, cure ailments, or refill ammunition.
Combat Items are sold individually, and purchasing large quantities can be expensive in terms of Entitlement Points. If you find yourself needing a significant number of Medkits, consider donating old resources to earn more points. While Combat Items can sometimes be obtained as rewards from Operations, this method isn't reliable for farming due to the time required and the potential to use more items than you gain.
