March's Pokémon GO Community Day extravaganza kicks off with Fuecoco, the fiery croc Pokémon! This comprehensive guide covers the event details, upcoming Community Day dates, and the rewards awaiting trainers in the Beloved Buddies event.
Fuecoco's Fiery Community Day Debut
Pokémon GO has announced Fuecoco as the star of the first March Community Day, scheduled for March 8th, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (local time). Expect increased Fuecoco spawns and boosted Shiny rates!
Evolving your Fuecoco to Skeledirge (via Crocalor) unlocks the powerful Charged Attack, Blast Burn, but only within one week of the event. Skeledirge can also learn Torch Song without time restrictions.
A special Timed Research event offers a Fuecoco encounter with a Seasonal Special Background and further boosts Shiny encounter chances. This Timed Research runs until March 15th, 2025, at 10:00 PM (local time).
For $2.00, trainers can access an exclusive Community Day Special Research featuring three Fuecoco encounters (all with Seasonal Special Backgrounds), Battle Passes, and Rare Candies. This ticket is giftable to Great Friends or higher.

Pokémon GO has unveiled the Community Day schedule extending through May:

- Sunday, April 27th, 2025
- Sunday, May 11th, 2025
- Saturday, May 24th, 2025 (Community Day Classic)
Community Day Classic events revisit past favorites, like Ralts (featured in August 2019 and January 2025). The remaining dates will showcase new Pokémon, yet to be announced.
The Beloved Buddies Event: Candela or Arlo?
The Beloved Buddies event, featuring Dhelmise, includes a Timed Research with branching paths: one focusing on Team Valor's Candela and Buddy Pokémon interaction, and the other involving catching Pokémon and battling Team GO Rocket's Arlo.
Initial tasks reward Ultra Balls, Remoraid, and Mantine encounters. Choosing a path unlocks unique rewards:
Candela Path: Poffins, Stardust, Ultra Balls, and encounters with Luvdisc, Shellder, and Rapidash.
Arlo Path: Poffins, Stardust, Ultra Balls, a Pocket Radar, and encounters with Cubone, Slowpoke, and Scizor.
