How To Beat The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
As the Natlan Archon Quest in Genshin Impact nears its conclusion, the game's lore continues to unveil the mysteries players have been pondering since the beginning. Alongside these revelations, the combat system has evolved, introducing new challenges such as the formidable Lord of Eroded Primal Fire. This weekly boss, unique to Natlan, stands out with its dual swords and fearsome presence, drawing from the original Dragon that once ruled the region. With mechanics reminiscent of the Corrosion effect seen in Inazuma's Riftwolves, this battle is challenging but conquerable. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to triumph over the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire in Genshin Impact.
Where To Find The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
You can locate the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire within the Stone Stele Records domain, positioned just south of the Statue of Seven near the Masters of the Night-Wind tribe. This domain is situated inside a shrine built to honor those lost in the Natlan battle. Upon entering, players can claim the customary rewards by spending 30 Original Resin for the first three encounters of the week.
To access this boss, you'll need to complete the final chapter of the Archon Quest titled "When All Becomes A Monument." Alternatively, if you choose not to finish the story, you can still challenge the boss using the Quick Challenge feature found in the Adventurer’s Handbook.
How To Beat The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
Conquering the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire is particularly advantageous with regional Natlan characters such as Mavuika, Kinich, Citlali, and Mualani. Although the Dragon remains mostly stationary, it will periodically summon three Pillars and three Tenebrous Mimiflora, which are easier to defeat with characters wielding Nightsoul Blessings.
Make Sure To Destroy The Three Pillars With Nightsoul Blessing
While it's possible to use other characters to destroy the summoned Pillars, using Natlan characters like Mavuika, Citlali, Kinich, or Kachina significantly speeds up the process. Breaking these pillars not only prevents the Dragon's Eroded Meteor strike but also immobilizes it for about 10 seconds, providing a critical window for damage.
If the Pillars aren't destroyed quickly enough, equip a shield and switch to a healer to endure the meteor attack. The corrosion status can penetrate shields, so constant healing from characters like Furina, Kokomi, Kuki, Barbara, or Bennett is essential to survive.
Try Your Best To Dodge Or Stay Underneath The Dragon
Dodging the Dragon's unpredictable attacks can be challenging, especially when it transforms into smoke and moves around the arena. Its sword slashes and smashes reduce the available battlefield, making navigation and dodging more difficult.
To manage this, stay close to the Dragon and deal damage from underneath it. Be cautious of the Eroded Dragon Breath attack, where the Dragon impales the battlefield with its swords, causing Pyro and Erosion damage. Stay shielded and healed, and if necessary, move near its hands where the Dragon Breath doesn't reach. Immediate healing is crucial to counteract the Erosion effect from sword slashes.
Co-Op Mode and Matching
Whether you have Natlan characters or not, consider tackling this battle in Co-Op Mode. Additional players with Nightsoul Blessing characters can significantly ease the Pillar phase. Simply click the 'Match' button upon entering the Domain to join another player's world and streamline the fight.
This battle, while not featuring multiple phases like other Weekly Bosses, still demands patience and strategy to complete successfully.
