Guide: To Help or Not Help Miners in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2?

by Hazel May 16,2025

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the Post Scriptum quest presents several key decisions that can significantly impact your gameplay and story progression. Whether you're considering helping the miners, here's a comprehensive guide to help you navigate this engaging side quest.

How to Start Post Scriptum in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - Post Scriptum Quest Start To initiate the Post Scriptum quest, head to the Kuttenberg region. Once there, locate the tavern just west of Kuttenberg city along the road. Speak with the NPC named Kvyertsolav to kick off the quest. This quest involves writing a letter for the miners, but be prepared for twists and turns along the way.

Write the Letter

Proceed to the house in Kuttenberg to assist Kvyertsolav with the letter. Upon entering, choose the dialogue option, "Justice is worth more than silver." You have the freedom to refine the letter as you see fit, write it as is, or make it more aggressive and concise. Regardless of your choice, the outcome remains consistent. After completing the letter, be ready for the miners to turn hostile. You can pass a Speech check to de-escalate the situation and secure your safety.

Should You Turn the Miners Over to the Bailiff?

If you manage to save yourself, you'll face the decision of turning the miners over to the bailiff. Choosing this option will end the quest abruptly, rewarding you with 100 groschen. However, this isn't the most rewarding or satisfying conclusion to the quest. Instead, consider taking the letter to Markold for a more engaging outcome.

Should You Help Markold or the Miners?

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - Markold and Miners Confrontation Next, you'll need to speak with the shaft owner. Approach the bodyguard at the house to gain access and deliver the letter to Markold. Here, you have three options: blackmail Markold, give him the letter as intended, or collaborate with him to take down the miners. Blackmailing Markold is not advisable due to the challenging Speech check and immediate quest conclusion.

Opting to help Markold involves killing three miners and nets you a mere 60 groschen, making it the least favorable outcome. Instead, siding with the miners offers a more rewarding experience. Give the letter to Markold as planned, receive seven groschen, and follow his instructions to meet the miners north of the city.

At the designated location, wait for the miners and proceed to their camp to meet Myslibor. When Markold arrives to attack, assist the miners in defeating him. Successfully completing this path will reward you with 160 groschen from Myslibor and the satisfaction of improving the miners' working conditions.

By choosing to help the miners during the Post Scriptum quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you not only gain a better reward but also contribute positively to the game's narrative.
