Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.4 Arrives This July
HoYoverse has announced the upcoming release of Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.4, titled 'For the Sun is Set to Die', launching on July 2. The new update reintroduces several fan-favorite characters while implementing key quality-of-life improvements to enhance player experience.
Exciting New Content Coming in 3.4 Update
The Version 3.4 patch notes reveal significant additions, including a new playable character and major story developments. HoYoverse recently shared details in their Developer Radio, confirming the implementation of highly-requested features like dialogue skip functionality and story summaries.
The Story Is Taking a Huge Turn
Phainon, a prominent figure among Aedes Elysiae's Chrysos Heirs, will join the playable roster. Players will explore his compelling backstory, following his transformation from warrior to Flame-Chase member. His abilities center around Origins, Calamities, and the Foundation Titans themes.
Penacony's Mysterious Event
A shocking invitation arrives from Old Oti of the Alfalfa Family, announcing the Sweet Dreams and Holy Grail War tournament. Beginning July 11, this special event pits seven participants - including Aventurine, Mr. Boothill, and Miss Robin - against each other in a high-stakes competition.
Special Collaboration Event
Version 3.4 features a major crossover with Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works, introducing three iconic Heroic Spirits:
- Saber: Wind-type 5★ Destruction character
- Archer: Free Quantum-type Hunt character (available July 11 through Version 3.6)
- Additional Lancer character
These special units will remain obtainable on dedicated banners after the event concludes.
More Version 3.4 Highlights
The update features character reruns in two phases:
- First Half: Tribbie, Sunday, and Sparkle
- Second Half: Firefly, Jingliu, and Blade
Several popular units including Silver Wolf, Kafka, Jingliu, and Blade will receive substantial gameplay adjustments and improvements.
