Way of the Hunter: Wild America is coming to mobile devices, bringing its expansive open-world hunting experience to smartphones and tablets. PC players will recognize the acclaimed gameplay from its August 2022 release on PC and consoles. Developed by Nine Rocks Games and published by THQ Nordic and HandyGames, the mobile version is currently in beta testing.
What to Expect in the Mobile Version:
While some graphical adjustments are expected given the limitations of mobile hardware compared to PCs, the core gameplay, including DLC, is planned for release. HandyGames has announced a closed beta test (CBT) via a sign-up form on their official X (formerly Twitter) account.
A Top-Tier Hunting Simulator?
Way of the Hunter challenges players with realistic hunting mechanics, demanding patience and strategic thinking. Animals behave naturally, reacting to your actions within vast, open-world environments inspired by the USA and Europe. The game boasts a 55-square-mile hunting ground, offering a wide array of authentic weaponry and detailed tracking elements, including blood splatter analysis.
The game’s ecosystem is dynamic; indiscriminate hunting has consequences. Overhunting in a specific area will cause animals to relocate. An in-game economy allows players to sell harvested meat to purchase better equipment, hunting licenses, and taxidermy trophies for their lodge. Both campaign and co-op modes will be included, with full controller support on mobile.Further details can be found on the official website.
