Indus: 11M Pre-registrations, New 4v4 Deathmatch

by Grace Feb 21,2025

Indus, India's homegrown battle royale game, has reached another significant milestone: over 11 million pre-registrations. The game, currently in closed beta, recently added a thrilling 4v4 deathmatch mode and an enhanced audio experience featuring revamped sound effects and music.

Indus, specifically designed for the Indian market, offers standard battle royale gameplay with unique features like a Grudge system rewarding players for engaging rivals. Initially announced in 2022, the game has undergone several beta phases, consistently expanding its features and attracting a growing player base. This steady growth reflects the booming mobile gaming market in India.

While the 11 million pre-registrations are impressive, the growth rate has slightly decelerated compared to previous periods. The game surpassed 10 million pre-registrations in March, indicating a slower increase in recent months.

A full public release is still pending. Although a late 2023 release was speculated, it hasn't materialized. Hopefully, 2024 will bring a full release or at least a public beta.
