Enter the Gungeon, the acclaimed 2016 bullet-hell roguelike, is launching a limited Android test in China! From June 28th to July 8th, Chinese players can experience a free demo on TapTap, offering a glimpse into the Gungeon's chaotic depths.
This mobile demo retains the core roguelike gameplay: unique runs, a diverse cast of quirky heroes, and challenging chambers filled with unpredictable enemies. The Gungeon itself remains a sprawling, bullet-infested labyrinth.
The controls and interface have been redesigned for intuitive touchscreen play, allowing for nimble dodging and rapid-fire combat. A standout feature is the inclusion of two-player online co-op, enabling collaborative Gungeon conquering with a friend.
What Awaits in the Demo?
The demo grants access to the first two floors, featuring a selection of the game's vast weapon arsenal—from standard pistols to outlandish inventions—and encounters with eccentric, gun-toting foes and bullet-hell bosses.
This test period is crucial for gathering player feedback. Bug reports, suggestions for improvements, and optimization advice are highly valued by the developers. Find the TapTap page to participate.
Global Release?
Currently, the test is exclusive to China, and the game is in Chinese. While a global release date remains unannounced, the game's popularity suggests a worldwide launch is highly probable.
