Jurassic War Survival is set on Dinosaur Isle, a classic 'lost world' teeming with prehistoric creatures brought to life by shadowy capitalist forces. But when a mysterious virus spreads, infected dinosaurs begin attacking the island's other inhabitants. As a former soldier, your mission is to save Dinosaur Isle, uncover the truth behind the virus, and find a way to end the outbreak.
In practice, this means engaging in classic strategic village-building gameplay. You will construct and upgrade buildings, fortify your defenses, and repel waves of infected dinosaurs. At the same time, gather and train uninfected dinosaurs and other Jurassic creatures to fight alongside you and help protect your settlement.
Spared no expense
I should clarify—I don't mean to sound overly critical of Jurassic War Survival. That said, Phantix's previous releases do follow a familiar strategic formula.
That being said, tapping into the rising popularity of dinosaurs is a clever move. For some reason, the fascination with giant prehistoric reptiles has made a strong comeback. Whether Jurassic War Survival will stand out, however, depends largely on what early players think now that they can try it firsthand.
