Kaiju No. 8 The Game has opened its doors for pre-registration on Android, targeting global players. Akatsuki Games unveiled the first trailer back in June 2024, and after nearly a year without updates, fans of the manga and anime can now look forward to experiencing Naoya Matsumoto's captivating universe on mobile and PC in the near future.
When Is It Landing on Mobile?
The app store listing has confirmed that Kaiju No. 8 The Game will hit mobile devices on August 31st, 2025. This exciting project is a collaboration between Akatsuki Games, TOHO, and Production I.G., dedicated to capturing the essence of Matsumoto's world. The gameplay blends the anime's cinematic style with classic turn-based combat. To emerge victorious, players must strategically expose a Kaiju's core before launching their most powerful attacks.
Players will have the chance to control fan-favorite characters such as Mina Ashiro, Soshiro Hoshina, and Kikoru Shinomiya. These characters come to life with intricately detailed 3D models and execute their signature moves from the series. While the game revisits key story arcs, it also enriches the Kaiju No. 8 universe with new, original storylines, offering more than just a retelling of Kafka Hibino's journey.
