Konosuba: Fantastic Days is Shutting Down with a Potential Offline Version

KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, the popular RPG by Sesisoft, is ending its service on January 30th, 2025, after nearly five years. Both the global and Japanese servers will shut down simultaneously. However, there's a potential glimmer of hope: developers are exploring the possibility of releasing a limited offline version, preserving the main storyline, major quests, and events. Details on this offline version are scarce, and its actual release remains uncertain.

What About Refunds and In-App Purchases?

The developers are handling the shutdown with grace. Official channels will close on February 28th, 2025. In-app purchases were disabled on October 31st, 2024. Players can still use existing in-game Quartz and items until the service ends. Refunds for unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases from early 2024 are available until January 30th, 2025.

A Look Back at KonoSuba: Fantastic Days

Initially launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was the first mobile game based on the popular KonoSuba franchise. The game featured a charming story set in a world threatened by the Devil King's army, boasting appealing visuals and a well-executed visual novel-style story mode.

Unfortunately, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days shares the fate of many gacha RPGs, succumbing to the challenges faced by the genre. High production costs and maintaining player engagement proved difficult, leading to its closure.

With only a few months remaining, now's your chance to experience KonoSuba: Fantastic Days before it's gone. Download it from the Google Play Store.
