Krysten Ritter confirms her comeback as Jessica Jones in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.
As Variety reports, Ritter's reprisal of Marvel's hardboiled private investigator was unveiled during Disney's Upfront presentation in New York. This confirmation follows persistent speculation about Disney+ potentially reuniting Netflix's Defenders cast as they transition into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Ritter appeared onstage with Daredevil co-star Charlie Cox, sharing her enthusiasm about revisiting Jessica Jones.
"Returning to Jessica after three seasons and The Defenders feels amazing," Ritter stated. "I'm thrilled to reintroduce this fan-favorite character – and while I can't reveal much, audiences will see Jessica evolve in exciting ways. This season will truly deliver!"

Ritter first embodied the New York-based Marvel hero when Jessica Jones debuted on Netflix in 2015. Following two additional seasons and The Defenders crossover, Netflix's Marvel era concluded – seemingly closing the chapter on Ritter's portrayal.
The narrative shifted in 2021 when Disney reacquired rights to these characters. Cox's return via Spider-Man: No Way Home and his Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again fueled speculation about other Defenders joining the MCU.
