The iconic White Wolf returns for his final adventure as production for the much-anticipated fifth and last season of The Witcher is now in full swing. Fans have been treated to an early glimpse of the new lead, Liam Hemsworth, stepping into the boots of Geralt de Rivia. These exciting set photos, which have surfaced on the dedicated Witcher fan site Redanian Intelligence, showcase the Hunger Games star donning the character's emblematic long blonde hair and full costume. Alongside Hemsworth, familiar faces such as Meng'er Zhang as Milva and Joey Batey as Jaskier, who have been part of the journey since Henry Cavill's tenure, are also featured.
Liam Hemsworth was officially announced as Henry Cavill's replacement for both Season 4 and the concluding Season 5 back in October 2022. The leaked images have sparked a buzz across social media, with fans eagerly discussing the transition and what it might mean for the beloved series.

In addition to the returning cast, the set photos also reveal new characters set to debut in Season 4 and continue into the final season. Among them is the legendary actor Laurence Fishburne, known for his role in Morbius, who will portray Emiel Reigs. These images have led fans to speculate that Season 5 might draw inspiration from Andrzej Sapkowski's "Tower of the Swallow," where Geralt encounters beekeepers who guide him toward druids. However, with Season 4 still pending release, the narrative could take any number of turns, leaving plenty of room for anticipation and speculation.
It's not just Cavill who has departed from the series; Kim Bodnia, who played Geralt's mentor and father figure Vesemir, will also not return for Season 4 due to scheduling conflicts. Netflix has yet to announce Bodnia's replacement or provide an official release date for Season 4, keeping fans on the edge of their seats as they await further updates.
