Lies of P: DLC and Sequel Announced!
Director Ji-Won Choi recently treated Lies of P fans to a celebratory message, offering a sneak peek at upcoming DLC and a highly anticipated sequel for the steampunk Pinocchio-inspired Soulslike game.
Celebrating Lies of P's First Anniversary
One year after Lies of P's release, developer NEOWIZ shared Choi's heartfelt message, expressing gratitude to fans for their support. The team, having worked tirelessly through Korea's summer heat, promises a DLC that expands upon the original game's strengths while addressing previous issues. Choi highlighted the commitment to building on existing successes and improving areas needing refinement. He also acknowledged the contributions of Team NOUGH and ROUND8 Studio.
A Glimpse into the DLC
The most exciting reveal? Concept art depicting P in a snowy location, gazing at a lighthouse, hinting at a new, perilous chapter. Accompanying this was a musical snippet from the DLC's soundtrack, "Lisrim," composed by onoken in 2022, though now re-released under NEOWIZ. The accompanying music video aligns with the Lies of P aesthetic.
DLC Release Date and Future Plans
While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 Earnings Results indicate a launch during the second half of 2024, alongside other titles:
- The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy
- Cats & Soup: Malang Town
- Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe
- Project IG
Previously released concept art showcased an industrial facility and a shipwreck as potential DLC settings.
Choi assures fans that their anticipation will be rewarded, and the DLC is just the beginning, with a full sequel already in development. Patience is key for now, but the future of Lies of P looks incredibly promising!
