For Magic: The Gathering fans, June might seem like a distant dream, especially with the excitement building around the upcoming Final Fantasy set. To keep the anticipation alive, Wizards of the Coast has just unveiled a tantalizing preview of over a dozen brand-new cards from the set. This sneak peek features iconic characters such as Sephiroth, Yuffie, Cecil, Garland, and Chaos, among others.

This reveal showcases a variety of new cards, including fresh art variations and the previously introduced commander cards: Tidus, Cloud, Y'shtola, and Terra. Alongside these powerful legendary figures, we also get a glimpse of a new Food token art and artistic variations on cards like Stilzkin, Moogle Merchant; Sin, Spira's Punishment; and Summon: Shiva. Today's reveal also highlights unique features of the set, such as the introduction of Summons, which are part of Magic's innovative Saga creatures. Players can summon these creatures for assistance in battle, as exemplified by Summon: Shiva in the gallery. Additionally, the set brings back double-faced cards, illustrated by the dual nature of Cecil's transformation from Dark Knight to Redeemed Paladin.

The Final Fantasy set will boast over 100 legendary creature cards, including 55 legendary borderless cards, some of which are illustrated by beloved artists from the Final Fantasy series. This set is not only fully draftable and Standard-legal but will also launch with four preconstructed Commander decks, each inspired by a different Final Fantasy game: 6, 7, 10, and 14. Each deck will feature 100 cards, blending new Final Fantasy cards with existing cards adorned with new Final Fantasy art. Mark your calendars for the set's release on June 13.
