The last major Baldur's Gate III patch entered the stress test stage

Baldur's Gate III's eighth and potentially final major patch is undergoing its stress test. While some Sony console players received early access, Larian Studios advises reinstalling the game for a clean experience if you're not participating in the stress test.

Patch 8 introduces highly anticipated cross-platform play between PC and consoles. Players with linked Larian accounts can seamlessly join friends regardless of their platform. Even modded games can participate in crossplay, provided all mods are compatible across PC, Mac, and consoles, and the host's mod count remains below ten.

Xbox Series S users will finally be able to enjoy split-screen co-op, a feature previously unavailable on this console.

Further enhancements in Patch 8 include a fully customizable photo mode and twelve new subclasses, adding depth and variety to gameplay. While numerous bugs have been addressed and game balance tweaked, some issues may persist. A complete changelog for the stress test is available on the game's official website.
