Mana Trials Update: Controller Support & Achievements Added

by Mila Mar 13,2025

Good news for fans of *Trials of Mana*! This classic 3D action RPG has just received a significant update, bringing long-awaited controller support and achievements to both the Apple Arcade and iOS versions. Now you can enjoy the game using your preferred gamepad.

While Square Enix continues to make waves in the mobile gaming world, particularly with their popular *Final Fantasy VII* spin-offs, *Trials of Mana*'s update is a welcome addition. The timing is particularly interesting, given the recent release of *Visions of Mana* and its collaboration with *Last Cloudia*. The enthusiastic fan response highlights a key issue: many players found the original touch controls cumbersome.

This is unfortunate, as the *Mana* series offers a compelling alternative for JRPG enthusiasts seeking something beyond *Final Fantasy*. While touch controls are adequate for many, they proved a significant barrier for others. This update removes that hurdle, hopefully encouraging more players to experience this gem.

Self-control

This update makes *Trials of Mana* (available in both standard and enhanced versions) even more accessible. While Android support isn't yet confirmed, the addition of controller support and achievements is a huge step forward for iOS players. With its stunning visuals and familiar gameplay, now's the perfect time to jump in!
