Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 lineup, a diverse collection of titles arriving throughout the month. This announcement, preceding Microsoft's Xbox Developer Direct on January 23rd, highlights several day-one Game Pass additions, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a yet-to-be-revealed fourth title.
The wave begins January 21st with Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), a day-one release on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Master the mountain in this snowy sequel, supporting up to eight players in cross-platform multiplayer. Race to the bottom or cooperate, sharing checkpoints – the choice is yours!
January 22nd brings a flurry of additions. Flock (Console) joins Game Pass Standard, offering multiplayer co-op fun as you collect adorable flying creatures. Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) arrives on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, delivering a dynamic 5v5 MOBA hero shooter experience. Also launching on the 22nd are Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console), a unique Japanese-inspired action strategy game; Magical Delicacy (Console); Tchia (Xbox Series X|S); and The Case of the Golden Idol (Console), all joining Game Pass Standard. Finally, Starbound (Cloud and Console) expands its Game Pass presence to Ultimate and Standard, having already launched on PC Game Pass.
January 28th sees the day-one arrival of Eternal Strands (Cloud, Console, and PC) on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. From Yellow Brick Games, this third-person action-adventure game features epic creature battles and a blend of magic and weaponry. Also launching on the 28th is Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, a fast-paced third-person shooter and trap defense game, playable with up to four players.
Shady Part of Me (Cloud, Console, and PC) arrives January 29th on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, offering a poignant journey through surreal dreamscapes. Sniper Elite: Resistance (Cloud, Console, and PC) launches as a day-one title on January 30th for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, bringing the award-winning sniping experience to occupied France. Play solo or team up in co-op.
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) joins Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as a day-one release on January 31st. This dice-driven RPG continues the story of the acclaimed sequel, placing players in a compelling sci-fi world. Finally, Far Cry New Dawn (Cloud, Console, and PC) concludes the wave on February 4th, hitting Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard.
