The MLBB Women's Invitational makes its grand comeback in July 2025, featuring 16 elite teams competing from July 15th to 19th. All eyes will be on defending champions Smart Omega Empress as they attempt to retain their crown.
After delivering one of 2024 Esports World Cup's most electrifying moments, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women's Invitational (MWI) returns to Riyadh. Last year's tournament witnessed an unforgettable underdog story when Smart Omega Empress dethroned the previously unstoppable Team Vitality, ending their three-year dominance across 24 consecutive tournaments.
The 2025 edition promises even greater excitement, with top female MLBB squads from around the world vying for both prestige and a substantial prize pool. The competition begins with a double-elimination Group Stage involving all qualifying teams, followed by a high-stakes single-elimination playoff bracket for the top eight contenders. Participants will battle for their share of a $550,000 prize pool, plus an additional $10,000 MVP award.
This year's qualification process spans more regions than ever before. Confirmed participants include DreamMax (MWI 2025 LATAM Qualifiers), CFU Serendipity (Queen Legends Season 1), NAVI MY (MYSG Qualifier), and Falcons Vega MENA (Carry1st Africa Cup). Remaining slots will be determined through ongoing regional tournaments including BOG Season 1, Athena League, and Lady MVP Season 6, with additional qualifiers upcoming for China, North America, Mekong, Mongolia, and Türkiye.
MWI's return forms part of the broader Esports World Cup 2025, bringing together premier esports organizations across multiple titles. While Smart Omega Empress enters as reigning champions, they face formidable challengers from every major competitive region, ensuring an unpredictable and thrilling tournament.
