A New Hub For Hunters
The showcase kicked off with a glimpse into the new endgame hub for hunting parties, known as the Grand Hub. This new area is brimming with activities for hunters to enjoy, from communal feasts and arm wrestling to listening to the Diva's nightly songs. Dive into the Barrel Bowling mini-game, which you can access by earning vouchers through various in-game activities, and snag some exclusive rewards while you're at it.
Unlock the Grand Hub once you reach Hunter Rank 16 by speaking to Tetsuzan in Suja, the Peaks of Accord.
Mizutsune Arrives
One of the highlights of Title Update 1 is the arrival of the elegant yet deadly Mizutsune. This monster boasts swift tail strikes and water jets, ready to challenge even the most seasoned hunters. To take on Mizutsune, reach Hunter Rank 21 or above, then head to the Scarlet Forest and speak with Kanya to start the quest. And, of course, new gear awaits those who successfully hunt this magnificent creature.
Additional Hunts on the Way
Prepare for a thrilling new Event Quest featuring the formidable Arch-tempered Rey Dau. This fight is a step above the usual Tempered encounters, promising a tough battle for those with a Hunter Rank of 50 or higher. Conquer this challenge, and new armor awaits as your reward.
Zoh Shia is also returning with its own dedicated fight. Previously only encountered once in the main story, you can now re-challenge Zoh Shia through new quests available at Hunter Rank 50, and craft exclusive armor from its materials.
Arena Quests
Speedrunners, get ready to test your skills with Arena Quests, where you can compete for the fastest clear times. Both Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests will be available, with pendants awarded for participation and achievement. Access these quests at the counter in the new Grand Hub.
Change Alma's Outfit
Alma, one of the game's most dedicated handlers, is finally getting a wardrobe update. You can now customize Alma's appearance through an in-game menu at camp. A new outfit is available for free, and completing a specific side mission will unlock additional options, including changing Alma's glasses.
More DLC is on the way
Title Update 1 will bring a mix of free and paid DLC. Some classic gestures from previous Monster Hunter games will be available for free in the store, while others, like the contents of Cosmetic DLC Pack 1, can be purchased or accessed by those who own the Cosmetic DLC Pass or Premium Deluxe Edition. Look forward to new stickers, additional looks for Alma, and more exciting additions.
More Event Quests and Seasonal Events
Get ready for more Event Quests and Seasonal Events. During these special periods, the Grand Hub will transform, and unique meals will be available. Limited-time equipment, gestures, decorations, and more will be up for grabs during these events.
The first Seasonal Event, the Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, begins on April 23, featuring pink cherry blossoms and new decorations. Capcom has also confirmed that most previous events and Event Quests will make a return in the future.
The Roadmap Ahead
Here's what you can expect in the coming months: Title Update 1 arrives on April 3 for U.S. players, followed by the Blossomdance event on April 22. On April 29, the challenging Arch-tempered Rey Dau will make its debut, and by the end of May, additional features and a Capcom collaboration will be introduced.
Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2
The showcase concluded with a tantalizing preview of Title Update 2, set to release this summer. Although no specific date was given, the teaser hinted at the return of the much-anticipated Lagiacrus, the underwater leviathan, potentially causing chaos on land.
