Mortal Kombat 1 released Conan the Barbarian gameplay trailer

Mortal Kombat 1 has unveiled two consecutive character reveals. Yesterday's esports trailer teased T-1000, but the Terminator isn't the immediate addition to the roster. Instead, Conan the Barbarian takes center stage, with a gameplay trailer released today, preceding his arrival next week for premium edition owners.

Conan's gameplay showcases a powerful, albeit less agile, brawler archetype. His heavy attacks suggest significant damage output, potentially offsetting a lack of speed with extended sword reach. A clash between Conan and characters like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander would certainly be a spectacle.

While visually reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Conan's fatality, a rather underwhelming acid bath, lacks the flair of some other MK1 finishing moves. However, compelling gameplay beyond fatalities is key, and Conan promises just that.

Premium edition players gain early access on Tuesday, while others must wait until January 28th.
