NieR: Automata offers a diverse arsenal, from quirky choices like the Iron Pipe to heavy hitters such as the Type-40 Blade. Many weapons are unique to the game, but one stands out for fans of Square Enix titles: Noctis's Engine Blade from Final Fantasy XV. This guide details its location and key stats, accessible during your first playthrough.

Where To Find The Engine Blade In NieR: Automata

The Engine Blade is tucked away within the factory area, but not during the game's opening sequence. You'll need to progress the story until you regain control of 2B. Alternatively, utilize Chapter Select and jump directly to Chapter 9 for quicker access. Begin at the Factory: Hanger access point.

Exiting the access point, veer right, following the path until you reach a 2D perspective. Pass a fenced-off area, ascend some broken stairs, and navigate a conveyor belt with boxes. The next belt features deadly presses; carefully avoid them. Jump to the next cylindrical area, where spider-like enemies will appear.

Enter the door to your left, climbing more stairs while dodging descending explosive enemies. Midway, the railing ends, and the platform extends. Move forward to shift the camera angle, initiating another 2D platforming section. Follow the path along the presses to the left. The final room contains three chests; the Engine Blade is in the leftmost chest, with a locked chest to the right.

Note: More explosive enemies will descend from the ceiling as you approach the chest.
