NieR:Automata Warped Wire Location Guide

NieR: Automata boasts a diverse enemy roster, each potentially dropping unique materials crucial for upgrading your pod and weapons. While many materials are acquired naturally during gameplay, some, like Warped Wire, require targeted farming. This guide pinpoints a highly efficient location to farm Warped Wire.

Farming Warped Wire in NieR: Automata

Warped Wire is a rare drop from stacked bipedal machines. These enemies, while not particularly challenging, have limited spawn locations. The most reliable spot is within the desert region. Fast travel to the Desert Camp access point and proceed along the path towards the main desert. Before reaching the open desert, you'll traverse mountainous terrain following a pipe through some ruins. This area consistently spawns multiple stacked enemies.

Focus on the two small clearings surrounding the destroyed buildings. The machines near these buildings are predominantly the stacked variants you need. Warped Wire has a decent drop rate here; expect one or two per clear. Consider equipping a Drop Rate Up plug-in chip to accelerate the process.

To expedite farming, utilize these respawning techniques:

  • Fast travel to another location and then return to Desert Camp to fully respawn enemies.
  • Alternatively, running a significant distance away before returning will also trigger respawning, though fast traveling is significantly faster.

Minimizing deaths and investing in drop rate increase chips is highly recommended. Many upgrade materials are machine drops, making this farming strategy applicable to various upgrades. Movement Speed increase chips also prove beneficial, shaving seconds off travel time between access points, and offering advantages in completing the game's racing side quests.
