Official: Dungeonborne is preparing to shut down

Dungeonborne, the PvPvE action game drawing inspiration from the popular Dark and Darker, is shutting down. Less than a year after launch, the developers have announced the end of support and the closure of its servers, citing low player activity and a lack of substantial updates as the primary reasons.

While the game's Steam page remains accessible via a direct link, it's no longer discoverable through the platform's search function. The developers haven't publicly detailed the specifics of the shutdown, but the dwindling player base speaks volumes. Concurrent player counts fell below 200 in late 2024, and recently plummeted to a mere 10-15 players.

Dungeonborne's servers will officially power down on May 28th, bringing a premature end to this promising title. Despite initial interest from fans of the genre, the game ultimately failed to achieve its full potential.
