Pedro Pascal, celebrated for his roles in acclaimed series like The Last of Us, The Mandalorian, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, has publicly criticized Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling for her recent comments against the transgender community. His remarks came in response to a video posted by writer and activist Tariq Raouf on April 17, where Raouf criticized Rowling's endorsement of the UK Supreme Court's decision to define "woman" strictly as "a biological woman and biological sex" under the country's equality legislation. This ruling effectively excludes transgender women from protections offered by the Equality Act.
In celebration of the court's decision, Rowling shared a photo on Twitter/X of herself enjoying a cigar and a drink by the ocean, captioning it, "I love it when a plan comes together," in reference to her financial support of the organization For Scotland Women, which was involved in the lawsuit.

Raouf's video described Rowling's actions as "serious Voldemort villain sht" and called for a boycott of anything related to Harry Potter. In response, Pascal commented, "Awful disgusting SHT is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior."
Pascal's support for the transgender community is well-documented. He previously expressed his stance by stating, "I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist," alongside a photo of a sign proclaiming, "A world without trans people has never existed and never will." Additionally, he wore a shirt emblazoned with "Protect the dolls" to the premiere of Thunderbolts in London, a phrase used within LGBTQIA+ communities to refer to trans women.
His advocacy is also deeply personal; Pascal's sister, Lux Pascal, publicly came out as a trans woman in 2021. Pedro Pascal supported her by posting, "Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux," which translates to "My sister, my heart, our Lux," celebrating her identity and his unwavering support.
