Pirate Yakuza

The holiday break is behind us, so let's dive back into some exciting gaming news! While we're all anticipating updates on the Nintendo Switch 2, today's focus is on a different fan favorite. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled new gameplay for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, showcasing its Hawaiian pirate adventure and revealing some intriguing details.

The showcased footage highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and diverse explorable locations. Goro Majima will boast two distinct combat styles: a swift, agile approach and a more brutal style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can recruit a colorful cast of unique allies to join their pirate crew, providing assistance in battles, exploration, and treasure hunts. The game promises hidden islands brimming with secrets and original side quests to uncover.

A significant announcement came at the presentation's close: the highly anticipated "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch! This is a welcome change from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where this mode was initially exclusive to the pricier edition, a decision that drew criticism from SEGA. This positive development means we only have to wait approximately six weeks for the official release.
