Improved Wi-Fi Connectivity:
A recent major update (3.0.1) significantly improved the PlayStation Portal's Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling connections to 5GHz networks and public Wi-Fi, resolving earlier issues with slower 2.4GHz-only support. Users are reporting much more stable remote play sessions as a result. A minimum of 5Mbps broadband internet is still recommended for optimal performance.
