Potential Pokemon Legends: Z-A Release Date Leaks Online

Pokemon Legends: Z-A: August 2025 Release Date Leak and February 2025 Confirmation Speculation

A potential release date for Pokemon Legends: Z-A surfaced online, pointing towards an August 15, 2025 launch. This date, initially listed by Amazon UK in early January 2025 and subsequently removed, aligns with The Pokemon Company's previously stated 2025 release window.

Initially unveiled during the February 2024 Pokemon Day celebrations, Pokemon Legends: Z-A is anticipated as a sequel to 2022's Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Similar to its predecessor, it's expected to prioritize exploration and collection over traditional gym battles and the Pokemon League. Since its announcement, official details have been scarce.

The Amazon UK listing leak, discovered by content creator Light88, briefly showcased the August 15th date before reverting to a December 31st placeholder. Given the game's 2025 announcement, the August date seems plausible.

February 2025 Pokemon Day: A Potential Reveal?

The official release date may be revealed sooner than expected. Following the pattern of the game's initial announcement during Pokemon Day 2024, the 2025 event (February 27th) is a strong candidate for the announcement. This date coincides with the Japanese release of Pokemon Red and Green, and recent Pokemon GO datamining supports February 27th as the Pokemon Day 2025 date.

Beyond the release date, fans eagerly await a gameplay reveal, another potential highlight of the Pokemon Day 2025 Pokemon Presents broadcast.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A is confirmed for Nintendo Switch, and will also be playable on the upcoming Switch 2, thanks to backward compatibility. While past mainline Pokemon titles have featured paid DLC, Pokemon Legends: Arceus only received one free post-launch update, "Daybreak."
