Respawn and Bit Reactor Unveil Star Wars Tactical Game April 19

by Harper May 02,2025

Respawn Entertainment, in collaboration with Bit Reactor—a studio founded by former XCOM developers—will officially unveil their new Star Wars tactical strategy game on April 19, 2025. The announcement will take place during the Star Wars Celebration event in Japan, promising fans an exciting first look at the project.

The game was initially confirmed back in 2022, but details have been scarce since then. Recent reports suggest that the title is being developed using Unreal Engine 5 and will feature turn-based combat, offering players a deep tactical experience set in the iconic Star Wars universe.

Despite significant layoffs at EA earlier this year, developers assured fans in March 2024 that the project remains unaffected and is progressing as planned. The upcoming reveal is expected to include key details about the game, along with a potential trailer to showcase its gameplay and visual style.

According to the official event website, the presentation will feature a developer panel hosted by Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment, and Lucasfilm Games. Scheduled for 4:30 PM–5:30 PM local time on the Galaxy Stage, the session promises attendees an exclusive first glimpse of the new turn-based tactical adventure. Fans are encouraged to tune in live to witness the unveiling of this highly anticipated addition to the Star Wars gaming lineup.
