Riot Games' MMO: Far from Finished

Riot Games made a notable appearance at this year's DICE Summit, where co-founder Marc Merrill sat down with Stephen Totilo to discuss the company's exciting future plans. One of the most ambitious projects on the horizon is an MMO deeply rooted in the expansive universe of League of Legends and Arcane. Merrill's passion for the MMO genre is palpable, as he revealed that the project consumes a significant portion of his time. He is confident that this dedication, coupled with the fervent desire of League of Legends fans to dive deeper into their beloved world, will pave the way for the game's success.

While Merrill kept the details under wraps, including any potential release date, he humorously remarked that he hopes the MMO will see the light of day before humans set foot on Mars. This light-hearted comment leaves fans eagerly anticipating further updates.

In addition to the MMO, Riot Games is also developing another game set in the League of Legends universe—2XKO, a highly anticipated fighting game. Unlike the MMO, 2XKO has already been showcased with trailers and is slated for release before the year's end, much to the excitement of fans who have been eagerly awaiting its arrival.
