thatgamecompany is launching an ambitious storytelling experiment in Sky: Children of the Light. The new Season of The Two Embers – Part 1 begins on July 21st, marking the start of an exciting four-part saga.
Inspired by the in-game film Sky: The Two Embers, this season introduces cinematic narrative directly into the gameplay. The season's release will coincide with the premiere of the film's first part.
Sky: Children of the Light Season of The Two Embers – Part 1 follows the same story as Sky: The Two Embers
The story follows an orphan who clings to hope as their world descends into darkness. The narrative unfolds through animation and emotive imagery, with no spoken dialogue.
Each chapter premieres as a short film. Players then embark on Seasonal Quests, reliving the final moments of a vanishing kingdom.
A manatee companion serves as the story's emotional core. It reacts to your actions and stays by your side through every challenge.
Alongside the story, explore one of Sky's most intricate new areas—a vibrant market village teeming with Spirits and hidden secrets. New cosmetics, including charming manatee-themed hats and earrings, perfectly capture the season's mood.
