Rest and Recuperation in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Sleep is paramount in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, offering a crucial method of restoring health without relying solely on food and potions. This guide details how to find a place to rest your weary head.

Securing a Bed

Early in the game, securing your own bed is vital. Progressing through either the blacksmith (Radovan) or miller (Kreyzl) questlines, as part of the "Wedding Crashers" quest, will grant you access to a bed. Radovan's location in Tachov offers a closer starting point. Complete his smithing tutorial to unlock the adjacent room with your designated bed.

This bed will be marked on your world map, and a nearby chest provides convenient storage. Return here whenever you need to heal.

Utilizing Campsites

When immediate access to your bed is impossible, numerous campsites scattered throughout the game world offer alternative resting places. Be aware that some may be occupied by bandits, requiring prior engagement. Empty campsites, however, provide a quick and easy rest. These locations are marked on your map, and interacting with the bedrolls allows for sleep. While comfort is reduced compared to a proper bed, it effectively restores health.

Sleeping in NPCs' beds is a last resort; discovery will likely result in a confrontation with guards unless successfully talked down.
