Sony has recently unveiled the PC specifications for the highly anticipated *The Last of Us Part II Remastered*, set to launch on April 3. Alongside the specs, Sony has announced enticing PSN sign-in perks and detailed new content coming to the No Return Mode, accessible on both PC and PlayStation 5.
In a comprehensive post on the PlayStation Blog, Naughty Dog, in collaboration with Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy, outlined the enhanced features tailored for the PC version of *The Last of Us Part II Remastered*. This release follows a year after its debut on the PlayStation 5.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered PC Features:
- Nvidia DLSS 3 Super Resolution support
- AMD FSR 3.1 and AMD FSR 4 support with upscaling and frame generation
- VSync and framerate cap options, including an uncapped framerate
- DirectStorage support
- Adjustable Texture Quality, LOD Distance Range, Volumetric Quality, Shadow Quality, Ambient Occlusion, and Reflections Quality
- Support for Ultrawide monitors, including 21:9 ultra-wide, 32:9 super ultra-wide, and 48:9 resolutions, compatible with triple-monitor setups
Players can enjoy the game in stunning 4K resolution, with a variety of supported controllers and keyboard and mouse controls. The game also boasts 3D audio for an immersive experience.
The keyboard and mouse controls have been enhanced with customizable options, including full control remapping, primary and secondary bindings, and an adaptive mode that allows for the combination of keyboard and controller inputs. DualSense controllers on PC also feature full haptic feedback.
"The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC offers a wide range of graphics settings and presets, to ensure the best possible experience on hardware ranging from high-end PCs to handheld gaming devices," Sony stated.
The Last of Us Part 2 PC Specs:
Moving on to the No Return Mode, Sony is introducing two new playable characters from *The Last of Us Part I*: Bill and Marlene, each with unique playstyles.
Bill embodies the "Smuggler" playstyle, allowing access to a custom pump shotgun from dead drops and doubling rewards from drops. He excels against melee attacks but cannot dodge. Marlene, on the other hand, adopts a "Risk Taker" playstyle, equipped with a Custom Assault Rifle and "All or Nothing" gambits, and can reroute her No Return path once per run.
Additionally, four new maps are being added to No Return Mode: Overlook, School, Streets, and Nest, each inspired by memorable locations from the campaign.
All new content for No Return Mode, along with new Trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 simultaneously with the PC launch through a free 2.0.0 patch, Sony confirmed.
In line with Sony's recent adjustment to the PlayStation Network requirement, *The Last of Us Part II Remastered* on PC features an optional PSN log-in. Logging in grants access to the PlayStation overlay and PSN Trophies, plus an additional 50 in-game points to activate bonus features. Players who sign in will also receive a new skin for Ellie, featuring Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from Naughty Dog’s upcoming PS5 game, *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet*.
PS5 players can also unlock the Jordan's jacket skin through the 2.0 patch using in-game bonus points.
Earlier this month, Neil Druckmann, the director of *The Last of Us*, shared insights into the development of *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet*. In an interview with Alex Garland, Druckmann discussed the creative process behind the game, which has been in development for four years and explores themes of faith and religion in an alternate historical timeline.
The PC version of *The Last of Us Part II Remastered* arrives just before Season 2 of HBO's acclaimed TV adaptation, where showrunners Druckmann and Craig Mazin have promised the return of spores, absent in the first season.
