Sphere Defense: A Retro Tower Defense Experience on Android

Tomnoki Studio's Sphere Defense is a new tower defense game for Android, drawing inspiration from the classic geoDefense by David Whatley. The developer, a fan of the original, aimed to recreate its elegantly simple yet challenging gameplay.

The Core Concept:

Earth, or "The Sphere," faces imminent destruction from alien invaders. Humanity, forced underground, develops new technology to fight back. After years of setbacks, they finally possess the firepower for a counteroffensive, and you lead the charge to save the planet.

Gameplay:

Sphere Defense delivers a classic tower defense experience. Deploy various units, each with unique strengths, to repel waves of enemies. Successful attacks earn resources for expanding and upgrading your defenses. Higher difficulty levels demand strategic thinking.

Difficulty and Length:

Three difficulty settings (easy, normal, hard) are available, each with 10 stages lasting 5 to 15 minutes. See the game in action:

Diverse Units for Strategic Combat:

Sphere Defense features seven unit types, offering strategic deployment options. Attack units include the Standard Attack Turret (single-target), Area Attack Turret (area-of-effect), and Piercing Attack Turret (for linear enemy formations). Support units like the Cooling Turret and Incendiary Turret enhance attack unit effectiveness. Finally, specialized units like the Fixed-Point Attack Unit (precise missile strikes) and Linear Attack Unit (satellite laser) provide additional tactical choices.

Download Sphere Defense from the Google Play Store and experience this nostalgic yet innovative tower defense game. Also, check out our latest news on CarX Drift Racing 3's new Android features.
