Filming for "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is officially underway, with Tom Holland treating fans to behind-the-scenes photos of himself suited up and perched atop a military tank.
Holland’s fourth solo Spider-Man film is currently shooting in Glasgow, Scotland, where a section of the city has been transformed into a set featuring the actor and heavy military vehicles.
Following last week’s debut of Holland’s redesigned Spidey suit, the actor has now shared images of himself in full costume, harnessed atop a massive armored vehicle.
Holland posted the images on Instagram with the caption "Spider-Man Brand New Day 1"—a thrilling way to mark the start of production. Of course, with filming taking place publicly, fans have already captured footage of the tank stunt, which is now circulating online.
Be warned—a touch of Scottish profanity pops up in TikTok user jamieg1510’s clip below, as an excited bystander spots the action and shouts, "It’s f***ing Spider-Man!" Fair enough.

Scheduled for release on July 31, 2026, "Brand New Day" marks Tom Holland’s return as Spider-Man after the emotionally charged ending of 2021’s "No Way Home." Following his heartbreaking decision to make MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon) forget his existence, the new film offers a fresh start—though Zendaya and Batalon are expected to return in smaller roles.
The film introduces several new faces, including Sadie Sink ("Stranger Things") in an undisclosed major role and Jon Bernthal reprising his fan-favorite role as Frank Castle / The Punisher.
Recent reports also suggest appearances by Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk and Michael Mando’s Scorpion. Meanwhile, close-up shots of the armored vehicle Holland is riding—featuring a cryptic logo—may hint at the movie’s true villain.
Both Spider-Man and Hulk remain unconfirmed for "Avengers: Doomsday," which is currently filming at Pinewood Studios in London. Meanwhile, Bernthal is still shooting his "Punisher" TV special in New York. All three Marvel projects are slated for release next year.
