Unlock the Staff of Ice in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies: A Comprehensive Guide
The Tomb, the newest Call of Duty Zombies map, introduces a returning Wonder Weapon: the Staff of Ice, originally featured in Black Ops II's Origins. This guide details how to obtain it, dispelling the myth of solely relying on the Mystery Box. While the Mystery Box offers a chance (influenced by GobbleGums like "Wunderbar!"), crafting guarantees acquisition.
Can You Find the Staff of Ice in the Mystery Box?
Unlike the original three-part crafting process in Black Ops II, the Staff of Ice in Black Ops 6 can be found in the Mystery Box, though this is entirely RNG-dependent.
Crafting the Staff of Ice: A Step-by-Step Guide
The Staff of Ice requires three components: the Monocle, the Head Piece, and the Staff itself. These can be obtained in any order.
Obtaining the Monocle
The Monocle is the easiest piece to acquire. It drops from the first Shock Mimic defeated in a match. Simply interact with it to add it to your inventory.
Obtaining the Head Piece
Locate the cave painting in the Neolithic Catacombs. Activate it by lighting the nearby Dark Aether lantern (the purple fire will shift between lanterns; ensure it's closest to the mural). Once lit, Roman numerals will appear on the wall. Shoot them in ascending order (I-X). A successful sequence triggers a lockdown; survive it to claim the Head Piece.
Obtaining the Staff Piece
In the Tombs area, repeat the lantern-lighting process (purple fire near the bull mural facing left). Shoot the illuminated Roman numerals (I-VIII) in ascending order. Survive the subsequent lockdown to obtain the Staff piece.
Assembling the Staff of Ice
With all three components, proceed to the Dark Aether Nexus. Place the pieces on the central structure. Defend the assembling Staff from a wave of enemies. Successful defense yields the completed Staff of Ice.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
