TMNT: The Last Ronin II - Re-Evolution #5, written by Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz, with art by Ben Bishop, Isaac Escorza, and Esau Escorza, promises a climactic showdown. IDW's official description teases an all-out war on the streets of New York, leaving the fate of Casey, April, Odyn, Yi, Moja, and Uno hanging in the balance.
"We wanted to update the characters," Eastman shared with IGN in 2024. "There are two male, two female Turtle characters, and Tom and I aimed to capture the thoughts, speech, and actions of teenagers. They have distinct personalities, much like the originals. They'll love their family, but not always like them—leading to arguments and disagreements. But when it matters, their family bond unites them."
