Gacha game enthusiasts are always keen on tracking the financial performance of their favorite titles. January 2025's figures have just been released, offering insights into the latest trends within the genre. Genshin Impact, developed by miHoYo (HoYoverse), made headlines with its latest update featuring the pyro archon and the highly anticipated Mawuika banner. This update significantly boosted the game's earnings, doubling its revenue to an impressive $99.4 million from $45.6 million in December 2024.

Securing the second spot was Pokemon TCG, which garnered $64 million. Not far behind, the "female gacha" game Love and Deepspace rounded out the top three with $55.2 million in revenue. Meanwhile, Honkai Star Rail saw a dip in earnings, reporting $50.8 million for the month. Zenless Zone Zero experienced a significant decline, with its earnings halved from $57.9 million to $26.3 million.
It's worth noting that these rankings focus solely on revenues generated from mobile platforms. Some of these games, including those from miHoYo, are also available on PC. An important detail in the revenue calculation method is also highlighted: "Since Google Play does not operate in China, estimates for Android data in the country are derived using a multiplier based on iOS revenue there."
