Unlock All BlazBlue Entropy Effect Characters: Guide

by Michael May 18,2025

Unlocking characters in *BlazBlue Entropy Effect* is a unique journey, centered around the use of items known as Prototype Analyzers. These are essential for unlocking each new character, with the exception of DLC characters, which you can purchase directly. Our comprehensive *BlazBlue Entropy Effect* character unlock guide will walk you through obtaining Prototype Analyzers and introduce you to every playable character in the game.

BlazBlue Entropy Effect: How To Unlock Characters

Your journey begins right after completing the tutorial, where you receive your first Prototype Analyzer. This item comes with a gentle nudge on how to use it. Exit the Acer Program room through the passage on your right, leading you to a room with a glowing platform. Interact with this platform to access the character selection menu and choose the character you wish to unlock.

For subsequent characters, you'll need additional Prototype Analyzers. Return to the room with the glowing platform and interact with it again to unlock another character. Note that DLC characters, such as Rachel and Hazama (available as of March 2025), are unlocked automatically upon purchasing and installing their respective character packs.

BlazBlue Entropy Effect: How To Get More Prototype Analyzers

*Entropy Effect* offers a few methods to acquire more Prototype Analyzers, each requiring patience and dedication.

Progress the Story: As you advance through the story and complete training missions, you'll unlock gray skills. Reaching specific milestones rewards you with Prototype Analyzers:

  • Unlocking 10 gray skills
  • Unlocking 20 gray skills
  • Unlocking 40 gray skills

Additionally, you'll receive one automatically after completing a key event later in the story. Note that unlocking green skills through Potential does not grant Prototype Analyzers. Unless developer 91Act introduces more skills or alternative methods, you're limited to earning three through story progression.

Complete Mind Challenges and Spend AP: Another method involves earning points from the Mind Challenge mode. You can then speak to the janitor to exchange these points (AP) for a Prototype Analyzer. Be aware that this is not a frequent opportunity, as each Prototype Analyzer costs 5,000 AP.

BlazBlue Entropy Effect: All Characters

As of March 2025, *BlazBlue Entropy Effect* features 12 characters, with 10 available in the base game and 2 additional characters as paid DLC. Here's an overview of each character, excluding the DLC characters which are unlocked through purchase:

Ragna the Bloodedge

Ragna from BlazBlue Entropy Effect

Ragna is a melee fighter with a unique twist. As a close-range attacker, he gains power as his HP decreases. His special ability allows him to sacrifice health to enhance his attacks, then regain some of it by siphoning from his opponents.

Jin Kisaragi

Jin from BlazBlue Entropy Effect

Another melee specialist, Jin excels in swordplay and ice-based skills. He can freeze enemies, and with well-timed combos, he boosts his strength and confuses foes with rapid movements.

Noel Vermillion

Noel from BlazBlue Entropy Effect

Noel is a ranged combat expert, capable of launching missiles in multiple directions. Her special ability reduces skill cooldown times, and she can continue using skills even after her MP depletes through Over-Exhaust.

Taokaka

Taokaka from BlazBlue Entropy Effect

Although Taokaka struggles against heavily armored foes, her versatility in build options is a significant advantage. Her Spinny Spinny attack allows her to inflict multiple hits and stack status effects, making her adaptable to various playstyles.

Hakumen

Hakumen from BlazBlue Entropy Effect

Hakumen is the quintessential tank, slow and robust, capable of withstanding enemy attacks while delivering powerful blows. Successfully blocking attacks allows him to counter with skills at a reduced MP cost, and he can also perform mid-air attacks.

Lambda-11

Lamda-11 from BlazBlue Entropy Effect

Lambda-11 excels in both close and long-range combat. She's formidable, with skills that continue to damage enemies even when she's not actively attacking, making her versatile in any combat scenario.

Kokonoe

Kokonoe from BlazBlue Entropy Effect

Kokonoe may be considered one of the weaker characters due to her reliance on managing lasers and crowd control effects effectively. However, with the right damage-over-time build, she can still be a formidable opponent.

Hibiki Kohaku

Hibiki from BlazBlue Entropy Effect

Hibiki is a master of evasion and crowd control, keeping enemies at bay with ease. While not the most powerful, his ability to avoid damage makes him a strong choice for players focused on survival.

Es

Es from BlazBlue Entropy Effect

Es is exceptionally powerful from the start. She can counter after dodging, execute mid-air combos, and has access to crowd control abilities, making her a well-rounded and potent character.

Mai Nastume

Mai from BlazBlue Entropy effect

Mai has a high skill ceiling and can be challenging to master due to her combo-focused gameplay. Her Heavy Attack is a standout feature, but her true strength lies in chaining combos for maximum damage and mobility.

Rachel Alucard

Rachel from BlazBlue Entropy Effect

Rachel is overwhelmingly powerful, boasting speed and the ability to reset her dodge moves. Her area-of-effect abilities cover a wide range, and one of her attacks is nearly impossible for enemies to dodge, making her a top-tier choice.

Hazama

Hazama from BlazBlue Entropy Effect

Hazama requires a strategic approach, with complex input-heavy moves that reward mastery. While initially challenging, his skills make him one of the strongest characters once you've learned to handle his mechanics.

That concludes our overview of all characters in *BlazBlue Entropy Effect* and how to unlock them. Remember, *BlazBlue Entropy Effect* is now available on PC, offering a rich and engaging experience for players eager to dive into its world.
