- Valhalla Survival is heating up this summer with its major July update
- A punishing new Abyss difficulty level arrives, featuring coveted Mythic gear to forge
- This release also introduces the Lightning Chain skill and a weekly guild mission system
Summer is here in full force, and top mobile games are joining the season with fresh events and content. Lionheart Studios' Valhalla Survival is no exception, launching its Chapter Seven: Niflheim alongside a suite of exciting new features for players to dive into.
Don't expect beaches and sunshine, however. This update transports you to Niflheim, a frozen, mist-shrouded realm of bitter cold—about as far from a summer holiday as you can imagine.
The chill isn't just atmospheric. Brave veterans who have cleared Stage 30 of Chapter 3 on Nightmare difficulty can now test their mettle against the new, even tougher Abyss mode. The challenge is immense, but so are the rewards, offering materials to craft supremely powerful Mythic equipment.

Frost and Spark
While trading sun for ice might seem ironic for a summer update, the new gameplay features are perfect for an extended play session. The headline addition is the Lightning Chain skill, unleashing a devastating combo of electric orbs and beams that damages enemies and severely slows their movement.
The highly anticipated common skill, Lightning Chain, is now available. This ability releases chaining attacks of electric energy—monsters struck by the orbs or trapped within the beams suffer immediate damage and a significant movement speed reduction.
Furthermore, a new weekly guild mission system offers rewards like valuable items and the Tome of Fortune, used to enhance both active and passive skills during a run. Complementing this is the Skill Enhancement System, ideal for powering up skills obtained from Nightmare stages or exploration.
