Valheim Developers Reveal First Creature of Upcoming Biome

Iron Gate Studio has unveiled a new developer diary, giving Valheim players an exciting sneak peek at the upcoming Deep North biome. The star of the show? Incredibly cute seals—almost too adorable to hunt!

The frosty landscapes of The Deep North update will introduce seals with varying appearances and resource yields. Horned or spotted seals, for example, offer richer rewards than their standard counterparts, adding a strategic layer to the hunting experience.

Interestingly, Iron Gate is taking a unique approach to teasing this update. Instead of relying on traditional trailers, they’ve crafted a narrative-driven video series following the adventures of Hervor Blood Tooth as she explores the Far North. Each episode subtly reveals aspects of the new biome, offering glimpses of snow-laden shores and breathtaking auroras.

While an official release date for The Deep North remains unannounced, this update is anticipated to introduce the final biome to Valheim, potentially marking the game's transition out of early access.
