Following the conclusion of World of Warcraft's 20th Anniversary event, the Turbulent Timeways event offers players engaging activities while awaiting Patch 11.1. This event, previously featured during Dragonflight, returns with a unique reward system tied to accumulating the Mastery of Timeways buff.
Turbulent Timeways Event Details
Unlike the typical staggered Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways features five consecutive weeks of Timewalking dungeons, running from January 1st to February 25th. Each week highlights dungeons from a different expansion:
- Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (January 7th-14th)
- Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (January 14th-21st)
- Week 3: Legion (January 21st-28th)
- Week 4: Classic (January 28th-February 4th)
- Week 5: The Burning Crusade (February 4th-11th)
- Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (February 11th-18th)
- Week 7: Cataclysm (February 18th-25th)
Completing a Timewalking dungeon awards a stack of the "Knowledge of Timeways" buff. This two-hour buff (non-expiring upon death) grants a 5% experience bonus from quests and monster kills. Four stacks upgrade to the "Mastery of Timeways" buff, providing a 30% experience bonus for three hours (also non-expiring upon death). Both buffs refresh with each completed Timewalking dungeon.
To achieve Mastery of Timeways, maintain four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways without letting them expire. Avoid extended AFK periods to prevent stack loss. Expiration before reaching four stacks requires restarting the process.
Turbulent Timeways Rewards
Beyond the leveling benefits, Turbulent Timeways offers rewards. The Sandy Shalewing mount, a returning reward from the Dragonflight event, is purchasable from Timewalking vendors for 5,000 Timewarped Badges.
Additionally, a new mount, the Timely Buzzbee, is obtainable by achieving the Mastery of Timeways buff during five of the seven event weeks.
