Xbox Cloud Gaming Beta Expands, Adding Custom Game Play

by Layla Dec 11,2024

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate expands cloud gaming capabilities, allowing members to stream games outside the standard Game Pass library. This means you can now stream titles you personally own, even if they aren't part of the Game Pass catalogue, to your phone or tablet. The update, currently in beta and available in 28 countries, adds 50 new playable titles to the streaming service.

Previously, cloud gaming was limited to titles within the Game Pass catalogue. This significant change dramatically increases the number of games accessible via streaming. Popular titles such as Baldur's Gate 3, Space Marine 2, and others will now be playable on mobile devices. This represents a major advancement in the accessibility and range of cloud gaming.

yt Unleashing Cloud Gaming PotentialThis expansion of cloud gaming functionality is a welcome development. A common frustration with cloud gaming services has been the limited selection of playable titles. The ability to stream personally owned games significantly addresses this limitation, enhancing the overall user experience.

This update also sets the stage for a more direct competition with traditional mobile gaming. While cloud gaming has been explored for some time, this new feature promises to invigorate the market and push the boundaries of mobile gaming technology.
