  • The PMRC Rondo Cup 2025 wrapped up this weekend
  • Yangon Galacticos emerged victorious as tournament champions
  • Their decisive victory was secured through a dominant points advantage

Yangon Galacticos claimed victory at this weekend's PUBG Mobile PMRC Rondo Cup, securing the largest portion of the $20,000 prize pool. The tournament marked another successful event in PUBG Mobile's expanding esports ecosystem.

The competition unfolded on PUBG's newest and most expansive battlefield yet - the Rondo map. Sixteen qualifying teams battled for supremacy, including notable contenders like D'Xavier from PMSL SEA Spring, Rangers representing PMCL Spring, and R3G3CIDE from PMSL CSA Fall.

While competing under the innovative SMASH format rules requiring teams to reach 30+ points followed by a match victory, Yangon Galacticos clinched the title through their superior point total when no team achieved the SMASH conditions after six intense matches.

The podium was completed by HORAA Esports and Bigetron Esports taking second and third places respectively, showcasing the growing competitive depth in PUBG Mobile esports since its 2024 expansion.

Interestingly, despite debuting the SMASH ruleset, the tournament concluded without any team winning through its specific conditions. Tournament organizers will likely evaluate whether these rules effectively promote more exciting gameplay in future competitions.
