StopotS is a popular categories game, also referred to as Scattergories, "City Country River," or just Stop.
First, players select categories as the foundation for gameplay. Examples include Names, Animals, Objects, and more. Once chosen, a random letter is assigned to all players, and a new round starts. Each player must complete every category using a word beginning with that random letter. The first person to fill all categories hits the "STOP!" button, immediately halting answers from other players. Through voting, players evaluate all responses to check their validity. Valid answers receive 10 points, repeated answers get 5, and incorrect ones earn zero. This repeats until the final round is reached.
