Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack: Four Classic Games Arrive
Beat 'em Ups, Racing, Puzzles, and Dodgeball!
Prepare for a nostalgic trip back to the early 90s! Nintendo is adding four SNES classics to its online service, offering a diverse mix of genres including action, racing, puzzles, and even dodgeball.
First up: the iconic crossover Battletoads/Double Dragon. Team up with the Battletoads and the Double Dragon brothers to defeat the Dark Queen and her Shadow Warriors. Choose from five playable characters – the Double Dragon duo and the amphibian Battletoads trio.
Originally released on NES in 1993 (and later on SNES), this marks a long-awaited re-release for Battletoads/Double Dragon.
Next, get ready for some dodgeball action in Kunio-kun no Dodgeball da yo Zen’in Shūgō! (known as Super Dodgeball in the West). Featuring Kunio-kun from the River City series, compete against global rivals in various exciting arenas.
This Super Famicom title originally launched in August 1993.
Puzzle fans will enjoy Cosmo Gang the Puzzle. This Tetris and Puyo Puyo-inspired game challenges players to clear lines of containers and Cosmos. Three modes are available: 1P Mode (solo), VS Mode (head-to-head), and 100 Stage Mode. Clear lines horizontally and utilize blue orbs to remove Cosmos.
Initially released in arcades in 1992, Cosmo Gang the Puzzle later appeared on SNES and various other platforms, including the Wii, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.
Finally, experience the thrill of Big Run, a racing game set across diverse African landscapes. Race against the clock and rivals across nine challenging stages, managing resources and making strategic decisions to survive.
Big Run originally debuted on the Super Famicom in 1991.
