SGT. Winter's Location in Fortnite Chapter 6
The initial Wintervestigation Quest sends you to SGT. Winter. These quests involve teaming up with Noir to uncover clues and find new NPCs across the Chapter 6 map. The quest tracker will pinpoint SGT. Winter's location—a snowy mountaintop near a plane crash site, east of Warrior's Watch and south of Foxy Floodgate. It's close to Mariah Carey's in-game concert location.
Talking to SGT. Winter
SGT. Winter is an NPC near the plane wreckage, marked with a speech bubble icon. Interact with him to access a menu where you can buy items (Holo Twister Assault Rifle, Blizzard Grenade) or initiate dialogue. Select the magnifying glass icon to start the Wintervestigation conversation, receiving your next mission and 25,000 XP.
Surviving and Looting at SGT. Winter's Location
This area is a popular drop zone, making survival crucial. Consider waiting a few days for the crowds to lessen, or employ these strategies:
- Buy loot: Purchase items from SGT. Winter using gold bars. The Holo Twister Assault Rifle is a strong early-game weapon.
- Use cover: Utilize the plane wreckage for cover and quickly loot nearby chests. Many players might only have pickaxes initially, giving you an advantage.
